A new orchestra consisting of some of Scotland's finest traditional and classical musicians met in Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall recently to record a series of compositions by Jim Sutherland which were commissioned for a large scale event to be held on Edinburgh Castle Esplanade called 'The Gathering 2009'.  The True North Orchestra, as the group were named can be heard and seen on the myspace page:
