Welcome to Tanar Records, the record label set up by Fraser Fifield
in 2002 to release his own work.
Being a stylistically diverse musician and composer, Tanar Records gives Fraser a clear path to transmit simply what he thinks sounds good and might connect with a listener. At Tanar Records, genre tags aren't applied. Music exists only to follow it's path, much like the river pictured, from which the name is derived.
Glen Tanar (www.glentanar.co.uk) is a beautiful Aberdeenshire estate within the Cairngorm National Park in North-East Scotland where Fraser spent the majority of his childhood and commenced his musical journey. Always an inspiring place to return to, various features of the Glen are referred to in several of Fraser's compositions, notably his first album released on Tanar Records: 'Honest Water'.
